We created Simpsons characters to look like us. Here I am.

Bike Safety.

On Tuesday we had to do an obstacle course. About 12 people brought their bikes to school. First the police lady checked our helmets then it was time to do the obstacle course. No one could  get around the U turn but on the second go most people could get around it. There was a see-saw that you had to go over and a ladder too, with alot more obstacles .We had lots of fun and I hope we get to do it again.

Food for thought

Last week Room6 went to New World because we were learning about health food. We were learning to read labels. A lady called Nova was their to meet us. Nova split us up into groups and we all had a different isle to work in. Our group worked in the drink isle. We learnt to read the labels on the drinks and we learnt what drinks to have all the time and drinks that we should have sometimes. After doing all of the isles we we turned the sheet over and their was more. We had to find colours vegetables and fruit colours of them in a Column. At the end we gave Nova a clap and said good bye.

The Westmere Walkway.

On Thursday  Room 5 and Room 6 and the Room 4 children went on a walk up Westmere walk.  It was a fairly warm day.  It was disgustingly dirty and their was cow poo all over the place.  At the start the hills were fairly big.  But then the gigantic hills were here, they were a struggle to get up for some people.

  About 20 minutes into the walk we found a spot to have morning tea, Mr Waite gave out some energy lollies.  Then we set off to head to a place for lunch.  It was pretty flat when we set off but it was kinda wet and sloppy.  Jayden Muir and I ran to the white pole.  One time he tripped over some long grass and landed on his face.

  After a while we got to see some cows.  A couple of them jumped the fence, most of us were shocked how high they could jump.  When we go to got down the hill it was so muddy and slushy.  When we were heading to the place where we were going to eat there was about 20 steers, some kids got chased by 1 steer.  So Mr Waite called us all in so we could walk over to the place together so we could probably scare the steers away but it didn't work.  After a while we got to the place where we were going to eat lunch.

  The steers where looking at us it was creepy.  When we had finished lunch Mr Waite and a few parents and Miss Whitwell scared the steers away.  When they had scared them away we found a place to play for 25 to 30 minutes, I was exhausted.  After we set off to the place were the bus driver was going to pick us up. When we got there we hoped onto the bus and went back to school.

Who am I?

Racecourse

On Thursday Room 6 went to the Races. First we watched a race then went downstairs to ride a pony. We got to learn what the race horses eat and got to try some of the food. Next  we got to pat the ponies and brush them. After that we  got to ride a pony. That was cool! Next we went upstairs and Bret gave us a book and a plastic horse. I know we had a good time.

On Thursday Room's 4,5 and 6 went to the Marae. Here is a photo of us doing a Haka.

In room 6 we had to write a story about the weather bomb on Satuday.
